Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was with English origin. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and has stated that she goes to Passover seders.
