Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie Ball (born November 24 in 1981) is an American political commentator. She was previously a politician, and a television host on MSNBC, a frequent contributor for The Huffington Post, and former cohost of The Hill’s Rising together with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball announced their intention to leave the show in the month of May 2021 in order to launch Breaking Points, a new independent venture with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is a co-host along with Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. Her guest appearances on the show include Fox News, CNN and Fox News. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball is able to attribute her new fascination with politics due to the fact that she became a new mother during the 2008 presidential primaries, and watching the outcome of the 2008 US presidential election during her time in Jordan. She was able to see the effect it had on citizens of her home country and was inspired to appreciate the international influence of US politics. She was a Senior Fellowship member of the New Leaders Council. Ball was nominated by the Democratic Party to represent Virginia's 1st Congressional District in the election of 2010. She was defeated by Rob Wittman. She was the host of The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 until July 2015. She founded the People's House Project (a political action committee dedicated to Democratic causes) in May 2017.
