Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American advisor to the political process, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009), the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career in the 2001 re-election campaigns Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack who were both Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to 2006. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communications, serving as the press secretary of President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. 20 February 13th, 2013, Psaki became the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. The speculations that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary once he left for the White House[21] were fuelled by her hire by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement for Carney on May 30, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
